Oates is an economy-sized, semi-retired software
engineer.
o
He
retired from bioMerieux,
Inc. (formerly Organon Teknika Corporation, a subsidiary of Akzo Nobel, nv) in
2004, where he played an integral part in the development, testing, deployment,
and support of the BacT/ALERT microbial detection system and the Redy 1000
portable sorbent dialysis machine.
o
Chuck
now teaches part-time in the Science and Mathematics Division of Oklahoma City Community College.
o
He
holds degrees in industrial
engineering (BSIE, 1970) and computing
science (MSCS, 1975) from the University
of Oklahoma.*
o
Chuck
resides with his wife, Sue,
and canine house pests, Tuxedo and Daisey, in Norman,
Oklahoma, USA, home of the
